Develop speaking confidence, critical thinking, and descriptive language through engaging sports themed picture discussion activities. The resource includes six high quality sports photographs, a printable Student Question Sheet, teacher guidance, and a wide range of extension activities. Learners work in pairs or small groups, discussing each photograph before rotating to the next one, encouraging every student to contribute ideas and justify their thinking with evidence from the images.

The structured discussion questions naturally develop descriptive language, inference, prediction, opinion giving, and speaking confidence whilst reinforcing vocabulary related to sport, emotions, actions, body language, and visual detail.
